Hi, I'm Mia Hartwell π
It's so good to have you here. I create simple, no-stress dinner recipes that help busy families get a delicious meal on the table β fast.
I started Easy Dinner Recipesfor one simple reason: dinner shouldn't be stressful. Between busy days and tired evenings, I was tired of staring into the fridge wondering what to make β so I started building a collection of reliable, family-friendly recipes that work the first time, every time.
My story
I'm not a chef in a fancy restaurant kitchen β I'm a home cook, just like you. My love of cooking started in my grandmother's kitchen, where I learned that the best meals are the ones made with a little patience and a lot of heart (and usually a generous amount of garlic).
Over the years, what began as scribbled notes and screenshotted recipes turned into a real passion for developing dishes of my own. I test every recipe in my own kitchen, with everyday ingredients you can actually find at the grocery store β no hard-to-pronounce specialty items, no equipment you'll use once and forget about.
Today, my goal is to take the guesswork out of dinner for thousands of home cooks. If a recipe makes it onto this site, it's because it's genuinely easy, genuinely delicious, and something I'd happily make again on a random Tuesday night.
What I love to cook
Weeknight comfort food
My happy place is a one-pan dinner that tastes like you fussed for hours but really took 30 minutes. Crispy chicken, creamy pasta, cozy stews β the food people actually want to eat.
Sneaking in veggies
I love finding ways to make vegetables the best part of the plate, so dinner feels balanced without anyone feeling like theyβre "eating healthy."
Air fryer obsessed
I genuinely use my air fryer more than my oven. Half the fun of developing recipes is figuring out how to get that perfect crunch with barely any oil.
High-protein meals
After picking up strength training, I started building dinners around protein. Now hitting 30g+ a meal without it feeling like "diet food" is a bit of a personal mission.
Beyond the kitchen
When I'm not testing recipes, you'll probably find me doing one of these.
Pinterest deep-dives
Saving (and testing) way too many recipe ideas.
Weekend hiking
Trail days always end with a big, satisfying dinner.
Farmers markets
Sunday mornings spent picking out whatever looks freshest.
Food photography
Every recipe here is shot in my own little kitchen corner.
